THE INSIDER WEEKLY

The Insider Weekly is an online show featured on CriticalHype.com that made its debut in September 2009. The show is an exclusive interview with a different urban dancer every week, as they take us back on how they started and what inspired them to pursue a career in dance. We also get to hear about their experiences in performances and battles, and some of their most memorable moments as they compete in one of Australia’s fastest growing industry.

The aim of the show is to inspire and educate the viewers about dance. It also provides an excellent opportunity for the dancers to express who they are and their passion for dance, which gives the viewers the chance to learn more about them outside of the stage or the ciphers.

Some of the guests from season 1 includes Don Napalan, who made it through to the top 20 of the 2010 “So You Think You Can Dance,” Jet Valencia who was another former So You Think You Can Dance top 100 contestant, and bboy Taz, who is currently on the new show on channel 7, Australia’s Got Talent.

There are hundreds and thousands of people from Australia who view each episode. According to Google analytics and YouTube insights, 70% of our viewers are from the age demographic of 13 – 34 years, with 65% of the audience being a male.

Season 2 will be premiering with 10 episodes on CriticalHype.com in June 2010, featuring dancers from all around Australia.
