SCRAPPY: A PHENOM ON THE INSIDER WEEKLY

Come down to a Krump session on a Wednesday night to Gate A in the Entertainment Centre, and be prepared to witness a true phenom of hip hop dance in display. He's  wild, yet a very composed dancer, who unleashes raw emotions to his dance, and you will feel his passion the second you hear the track. The rest of the dancers in the session can't help but feel inspired as they witness this violent but graceful display of Krump. The dancer i refer to is known to many only as Scrappy. His understanding and confidence in Krump is at an all time high, having to have battled the best in Australia, and the founder of Krump himself, Tight Eyez.

Not too many dancers embraces the street culture the way Scrappy does, which is strange because hip hop originated from the streets, but that's a whole different article to write about. This young Krumper from the inner west of Sydney, is one of the leaders in the Krump community of Australia, along with Blitz, Darrio, Ruff and Alpha'Wun to name a few. He has a background in popping and waving, but focuses on Krump, and has been for the passed 3 years.

We'll have the opportunity to hear from Scrappy himself, what got him to start dancing, what he loves about dancing, how he rates his abilities and who he would love to kill off. The Insider Weekly featuring Scrappy will be streaming online on the 10th of November on CriticalHype.com.
