Questions have been answered as King Kurry, the latest popper coming out of Chatswood High, made his official debut to the dance scene in Australia on the 28th of November 2009. A member of the crew, Crew 109, King Kurry joins the company of other poppers like Jfunk, who's continually setting high standards in Australia.
Not much has been seen from King Kurry previously, besides some short clips on youtube and some hype from other dancers who has seen him jam, however after entering the GStyle Down Under popping battles that took place in Chatswood Youth Centre this passed weekend, he is without a doubt the popper to watch out for in 2010.
With other high calibre poppers battling in the competition including Romeo Pop, Lay Curios, DanisKool and the invincible Popping Jack, King Kurry was able to take the title, finishing off the younger brother of Popping Jack, Keanu aka Radio Waves, in the finals after 3 rounds. With the competition being one of the most hyped event in 2009, and having Slick Dogg and Tempo judging the event, this is an achievement that will be remembered by many for years to come.
"...on the 28th of November, King Kurry is the baddest popper in Australia...", Slick Dogg.
