Critical Hype is proud to announce the 2011 Cabramatta Moon Festival: Dance Competition. In partnership with the Fairfield City Council, Critical Hype will be oraganising freestyle dance battles, a freestyle dance showcase competition and a lineup of exciting performances by local dancers. The winners of the dance compettion will receive free tickets to Australia's biggest freestyle dance battle event, "360". The aim of the dance competition is for young people and families to have fun, enjoy dance, and to also feature local talent doing different styles of Street Dance such as breaking, hip hop, funk and many more.

Headlining the event includes, Kookies n Kream (the 2011 Varsity champions of the Australian Hiphop Championships, The Outsiders (local jerk crew sensation), Khali of Juse Crew (So You Think You Can Dance 2008 top 20) plus the local talent of  Sydney's west.

In 2010 a record breaking 90,000 people came out in to celebrate the Cabramatta Moon Festival. The festival is recognised as one of Sydney’s largest Asian celebrations. People from all parts of Sydney and from many different cultural backgrounds joined the people of Cabramatta to celebrate the ancient Moon Festival tradition.
